I can't believe I have neglected to come here since the fourth of freakin july.

well I am back at least untill I get busy and forgetful again. lol if the truth hurts.,.... too bad.

here is an update since the last visit here.

my stepmom has recovered from her heart attack very nicely. the adjustment to the new diet and all has been hard on her. but she is strong and I know she can keep it up. thanks to all of you who left messages wishing well.... oh wait.,,,, no one did. thanks anyway.

I am getting more and more active with the camp I love going to. I have been accepted into their cabin sponser program. yeah!!!!!!!!!!! I am thrilled beyond words. This camp has been an absolute life save for me. for the first time in  my life I feel like i belong somewhere. I am treated as an equal there. I am made to feel that my thoughts and ideas are important to more than just me. I have met so many wonderful people who I value beyond most of my friends I had before. (those of you who mean the most in life to me already know who you are and I shouldn't need to name you one by one.) I honestly don't know where I would be right now if it wasn't for being able to go to camp. if you want more info on this place you can go to their website at www.campgaea.org   they are awesome.

I am on a committee with another wonderful person trying to plan a polar bear plunge. the money raised with this will go toward building a permanent care taker's house. this is something that needs to be done soon. the caretakers are absolutely two of the best people I have met. they are hard working caring people who would give you the shirt off their backs if they thought you needed it more than they did. they are easy to talk to and well just great people.  we don't have a date nailed down for this event and I hope to have some more details on this soon. I do know that each person who participates in the plunge will receive a tee shirt with the date and event info on the back and the camp gaea emblem on the front. we are open to ideas on how we can raise the most money possible with this so if you have any ideas for me please feel free to let me know. we are also looking for brave people to take part in the plunge. so far I think we have six people with the guts to do it. yes I am one of them. this will be the second plunge I have taken part in so I am really excited to see if we can pull this off successfully. I have never planned anything more than my halloween camping trip before so I hope we do well with this. it is a real confidence builder having something of this scale basically laid in my lap. It may not seem this way but I have never been an overly confident person. I have real problems with self esteem. and unless you really know me well you would never guess that. I hide it well.

and speaking of my camping trip there is only 25 days left to wait.. i am thrilled. I will be in a place I love surrounded by people I love. and we will be having a blast. the camp has a lot of things planned which will only add to the fun. but even if they didn't it will be great just to be around the people who mean the most to me, both old and new friends alike. since the group has shrunk in size we decided to get one of the cabins. if anyone is till interested in going there is about 160 acres of tent sites still available. even if part of the group is separated by the tent camping we will still be eating as a group and having fun as a group no matter what the sleeping arrangements are.

well I have been a moody bitch today but I think I have gotten some good news out there.

I know this is a little late but I truely hope that eveyone had a great fourth of july. I know we did. we went up to my dad's farm which is in northern missouri. he has a small 20 acre place. we thought for a while that we were going to get rained out. it clouded up and got really dark and the thunder was quite loud for a while. but no rain it just teased us. we set off a ton of fireworks and grilled steak. every thing was really good.

I am going back to camp this weekend. I always have fun there. and hopefully I will be able to surprise my best friend in the whole world for her bday in august and go to texas. I have to talk to her husband and another friend of mine there to see if we can pull off the surprise. I want to fly in a couple days before her bday and have to be home before mine. they are three days apart so that shouldn't be a problem. hubby is still deciding if it is ok for me to go. I know it shouldn't be up to him but since he pays all the bills around the house I am respectful enough to ask him. I found the round trip air fare for a remarkably low price. only 134 dollars round trip. not too bad for a round trip non-stop flight.

another thought..... wow I really need to update that pic on my profile.. that is one pretty old.. I have lost enough weight that I can't wear my bodice anymore. lol yeah... love the weight loss ... booooo hate I can't wear the bodice. lol I am crazy sometimes.

Last week my family had a really bad scare. my step mom had a heart attack. she is rocovering quite well and had to have two stints put in because of two places that were at 95% blockage. I hope that this is a one time thing for her. I know it means a lot of changes in her life but I know she can do it. I really like my step mom and hope nothing but the best for her. just wanted to put it in writing because I have been so worried about her.

I am getting more and more excited about my camping trip for halloween. I had thought about canceling it because of some bad feelings between me and a good friend of mine but I decided not to.. if she wants to go she can and if she doesn't then there is nothing I can say or do.          I hope this year will be our biggest turn out and so far it is looking good but only time will tell.
